Why preventive medicine

His interest in preventive cardiology and metabolic health was shaped by a pattern he could no longer ignore: cardiovascular and metabolic risk appearing in progressively younger age groups — affecting not only patients, but close friends and family. The conventional model of investigating only once symptoms appear was arriving too late.

Signature Health Intelligence was built in direct response to that observation. It combines physician-led early detection with AI-assisted cross-biomarker pattern analysis, calibrated for South Asian biology, to show individuals where their health is heading years before risk becomes disease.

“Results mean nothing alone. My role is to translate your biomarker data into a clinical conversation about your future — not just your present.”

How he practises

Every SHI report is reviewed, interpreted and authored personally by Dr. Gamalathge — one physician reads your results, knows your name, and signs every page. AI is used to surface cross-biomarker patterns that single markers miss; it does not make clinical decisions. Results are interpreted against South Asian thresholds rather than European population norms, because South Asians develop metabolic and cardiovascular disease at lower cut-offs.

Common questions

Is Dr. Gamalathge a registered doctor in Sri Lanka?

Yes. Dr. D. R. Gamalathge holds an MBBS and is registered with the Sri Lanka Medical Council under registration number 36999. Every SHI report is a clinical document issued by a licensed physician.

What is his area of interest?

Preventive cardiology and metabolic health — identifying cardiovascular and metabolic risk before symptoms appear, using biomarker profiling, cardiovascular risk forecasting and biological-age assessment. Does he personally review every report?

Yes. No SHI report is system-generated. Each one is reviewed, interpreted and signed by Dr. Gamalathge personally.
